How do you say 55 points in French?

November 05, 2008 By: chris Category: Cavs, Spurs, Suns No Comments →

Tony Parker, that’s how.  A Ridiculous performance by the league’s favorite Frenchman.  55 pts, 10 ast and 7 reb.  Only Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson have had 55 and 10 before tonight.  Awesome night for TP.

UPDATE: Amare Stoudemire had 49 and Lebron had 41.  What’s gotten in to these youngsters tonight?!?!  Filthy Ridiculous.

Mighty Mouse Joins The Spurs

February 11, 2008 By: mike Category: Blazers, Spurs, Playoffs 2 Comments →

Although not as big a deal as Pau or Shaq, Damon Stoudamire joining the Spurs may turn out to be a big factor late in the playoffs. Although Damon hasn’t been on a playoff team in a few years, he was a major part of the 2000 Portland Trail Blazers. That team had to suffer one of the worst all time fourth quarter collapses to be kept out of the finals. Damon brings a lot of experience to a team full of veteran players. Even though the Spurs are not in need of anything to be contenders for the championship, this move shows that they are not interested in anything less than another ring.

WTF Wednesday 1.23.08

January 23, 2008 By: chris Category: WTF, Lakers, Spurs, Suns, Video No Comments →

I thought i’d knock it up a notch this week with a few video clips. BAM!

First we’ve got Steve Nash looking for Robert Horry……

Yeah, I don’t get it either.

Next, we’ve got Kobe unveiling his “passion bucket” on TNT.

How did Cheryl Miller keep from laughing in his face?

Top 12 NBA players in each conference THIS YEAR

January 22, 2008 By: chris Category: Nuggets, Jazz, Rockets, Pistons, Warriors, Nets, Hawks, Clippers, Hornets, Wizards, Cavs, Spurs, Notes, Mavs, Suns, Bobcats, Bucks, Pacers, Heat, Lakers, Celtics No Comments →

Yesterday on Full Court Press, they were discussing their top 12 players in each conference THIS YEAR. Not to be outdone and because their lists sucked, I have decided to throw my two cents in. This is not an actual all-star team list, as I’m not basing it on picking a team or by position or any of that bogus nonsense. That would make too much sense. This is just a straightforward list of my top 12 players in each conference so far THIS YEAR. Let’s start with the east.

In no particular order:

Bron Bron
D-Wade
Jermaine O’neal
KG
Paul Pierce
Chauncey Billups
Michael Redd
G-Force
Dwight Howard
Caron Butler
Jason Kidd
Joe Johnson

And now the West. Again, in no particular order:

Nash
Kobe
Chris Paul
Dirk
Tim Duncan
A.I.
Melo
Yao Ming
Amare
Baron Davis
Deron Williams
Chris Kaman

I know there’s a few left off that have deserved it in years past(I’m lookin at you T-Mac), but they just haven’t really done it for me this year. Injuries also played a part in this(Did Arenas retire?) So, there you have it. I’ll compare this to the actual all-star roster when it’s announced. Should be interesting to see what top players are left off because of their position.

Spurs/Pistons Pre-game Prediction

UPDATE: Final score Pistons 90-Spurs 80.

Warriors shock Spurs

In honor of the Warriors upset of the Spurs last night, I thought it’d be nice to give BD some much deserved props (courtesy of nba.com).

January 3rd, the day of the beat down

January 04, 2008 By: chris Category: Blazers, Predictions, Spurs, Bulls, Suns No Comments →

My game of the night has to be Blazers V Bulls, i.e. a terrible team hosting a super hot team. I’m almost giddy for this one. The fact that in one game the entire country will see the rise(Blazers) AND fall(Bulls) of a franchise is almost unheard of. Should be a Blazers smack down.

Also, Spurs and Suns win tonight . It is quite possible that all 3 games tonight could end up being blowouts.

UPDATE: went 2-1, no blowouts. I can’t believe how the Bulls played. They actually looked good. It’s like they wanted me to look like a fool. And since when do the Spurs lose!!! Excuse me while I wipe the egg off my face.

NBA Finals Picks

October 30, 2007 By: chris Category: Cavs, Predictions, Spurs, Mavs, Celtics No Comments →

With the 07-08 season is finally upon us, I thought now would be as good a time as any to see who hoopandharmers think are the preseason favorites to win the NBA title. So….., who do you think?

My picks:

West Finals: Mavs V Spurs, Mavs in 6
East Finals: Celtics V Cavs, Cavs in 7
NBA Finals: Mavs V Cavs, Mavs in 5

Beno Udrih breaks finger, nobody cares

October 04, 2007 By: chris Category: Spurs, News, Notes 1 Comment →

Beno Udrih, Spurs guard, broke his finger in training camp today. He will wear a cast for a few weeks, and be fairly useless for 3-4 weeks, says Popovich. So what else is new? This changes nothing for the Spurs or really anything, expect make me laugh that this was even news-worthy.
